Location information

To make borrowing local and easy, Neighbrly uses your address to approximate your neighborhood. We do not publicly display your full home address. Only general proximity (e.g., “2 blocks away”) is shown to others.

Messages and communication

Messages between neighbors are private but may be stored and monitored by Neighbrly if needed to resolve disputes, ensure safety, or enforce community guidelines.

SMS Notifications (Optional)

When you create an account on Neighbr.ly, you may choose to provide your phone number to receive SMS notifications. These messages are related only to your activity on the platform (such as borrow requests, approvals, reminders, and returns). Providing your phone number is optional and not required to use Neighbr.ly.

Data retention

We keep your information only as long as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we’ll remove or anonymize your personal data, except where retention is required by law.

Children’s privacy

Neighbrly is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption, secure servers, limited access) to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so please use Neighbrly responsibly.
